Ashtabula County Ohio -- Covered Bridges

This "Greenway Trail" consists of 18 covered bridges of which we saw 11.
 A full day's venture and a great drive.
Remants.  Washed away in a 1913 flood.
 
Judy checking it out.  Built in 1874, rebuilt in 1981. 
Wil checking it out.  The longest covered bridge in the US.
  Dedicated in 2008 and can haul any load.
Built in 1868.  Renovated in 1987.

Chelsea MI

Judy found a replactement for Wil at the Teddy Bear Factory in Chelsea.
If you look close enough you will dixcover this flag is made of miniture Teddy Bears
It is the largest of its kind in the Guiness Book of World Records.

Dearborn MI

Judy knew all the items in the show case and did a lot of reminecsing.
 OnWednesday the 17th we toured the Henry Ford Museum and took all these pictures.  On Thursday we toured the factory where the F150 was made, but cameras were not allowed...... BooHoo   
Wil is acting like he could drive this......A 1980's corn harvester.
Land speed record holder for 9 years at 421 MPH.

Rosa Parks woke up the segerated south in this bus
 by refusing to give up her seat to a white man
 and was jailed for not doing so.

Traverse City MI


This is our campsite for the next 2 days. 
 It's by Traverse City, MI, and the weather man
 is taking good care of us!!!


While in Traverse City we took a day trip through Sleeping
Bear National Park.  Two of the outstanding sites was this dune
 with a drop off into the lake and the quaint covered bridge.
