Erie Canal - Lockport NY

 

The 2 locks we went through raise and lower the level 25ft each.

Niagara Falls

The gardens are beautiful!!

We rode the "Maid of the Mist" into the center of the Horshoe Falls-WOW!!

We spent at least an hour along the rail starring at the awsome sight!!

and below is the American Falls.   All our pictures were taken from the Canadian side.

 

All in all.....this day was the highlight of our trip thus far!  

Lockport, New York

Ashtabula County Ohio -- Covered Bridges

This "Greenway Trail" consists of 18 covered bridges of which we saw 11.

 A full day's venture and a great drive.

Remants.  Washed away in a 1913 flood.

 

Judy checking it out.  Built in 1874, rebuilt in 1981. 

Wil checking it out.  The longest covered bridge in the US.
  Dedicated in 2008 and can haul any load.

Built in 1868.  Renovated in 1987.



Kenisee Lake - Jefferson, Ohio

A beautiful campsite by the lake, but a little far from town.

Wil is trying to fix a day/night shade-- *&%$#&#@
NOT a fun pastime!!!

 

Chelsea MI

Judy found a replactement for Wil at the Teddy Bear Factory in Chelsea.

If you look close enough you will dixcover this flag is made of miniture Teddy Bears
It is the largest of its kind in the Guiness Book of World Records.
